Fellowship of Faith, ICCC
is a newly emerging faith community in Greensboro North Carolina.
We are a group that is small in numbers but large in spirit.
In the beginning, there were only four of us
and there were times that it seemed as if it might always be just the four of us
but we continued to pray and seek after God
and eventually our efforts began to bear fruit.
We began by holding a weekly bible study
that progressed into a Sunday morning service.

The inaugural service was held on July 10, 2005

at the home of Pastor Cyndi Shepherd & her partner, Sharon Morris.
It seemed kind of weird at first – just the 4 of us “doing church”

as if there were 40 of us - but after a while

it didn’t feel weird anymore, it just felt like “church."
After about 3 months of “house church” we moved to a meeting room at a local hotel. Though we had a few friends come and visit us sometimes, our first “real” visitors (people none of us knew) didn’t come until November. What a thrill!
Even more thrilling is the fact that many of those early visitors were still with us when we had our One Year Anniversary Celebration.
The months and weeks leading up to the 1-year milestone
were filled with excitement.
We moved to a small business complex in March of 2006
and have invested a considerable amount of time and energy in making it “home."
It turns out that God provided our little church (now numbering 20+) with all sorts of talented people – people who were willing to share those talents for building God’s house!
[Some painted; some built chairs (yes, the chairs we sat in every Sunday),
some stained the oak that was donated to us for building our Altar, pulpit,
and plant stands; some upholstered cushions; some ran down to the hardware store to get the supplies we needed; some just came and cheered others on -
ALL did so with joy and with a spirit of excellence for the glory of God.]
We had outgrown the 1200 square foot space on Dundas Circle (which included 600 sft of Sanctuary space, an office, a make-shift fellowship hall and one tiny bathroom) by the end of 2008 but ended up staying another year while we searched for our "dream location".
WE FOUND IT!
We are now worshiping in a 3000 sft space
whose entry is the same size as our old Sanctuary.
Once again, the community rallied around and with a collaborative effort...
converted an old fabric store into a magnificent house of God.
We are now averaging 40 in attendance
for the Sunday morning service -
PLUS - -We have a praise team, children's program
and weekly small group discussion meetings.
Only God knows what tomorrow will bring
but we look forward with eager anticipation to what God has in store for us.
